⭐ "Why Us?" — Essay hooks & school personality

MIT Sloan is the only business school inside a top-3 STEM university — Course 15 undergrads take real math, stats, and CS alongside business core, giving them a permanent edge in quant trading, business analytics, and tech PM roles. Andrew Lo's Laboratory for Financial Engineering hires undergrad RAs. MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference is the flagship analytics event. UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program) lets Course 15 students work in real research from freshman year.

🏆 Unique advantages

Need-blind for ALL international students (extremely rare for B-schools). No loans in aid. STEM-designated 15-2 and 15-3 tracks (24-month OPT extension). Cross-registration with Course 6 (EECS) enables joint quant finance / analytics training. Direct pipeline to quant funds (Jane Street, Two Sigma, Citadel) that hire heavily from MIT.

💼 Career outlook

~35% of Course 15 grads go into quant/finance (Jane Street, Two Sigma, Citadel Securities, Hudson River Trading, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs Strategies); ~25% into tech PM/analytics (Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple); ~20% consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain). Median starting salary $130-155k base + $30-50k signing at top firms. Highest concentration of undergrad quants in the world.

🎯 Essay Hooks — "Why Us?" эссэд ашиглах specific anchor-ууд

Ерөнхий "great library" биш — тодорхой campus culture, program, alumni хэсгүүд. Тухайн сургуулийн уникаль зүйлсийг эссэдээ дурдснаар "чи маш их судалж, зөвхөн бидэн рүү зорьж байна" гэсэн сигнал өгнө.

  • MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering (Andrew Lo) hires Course 15 undergrads for hedge fund + market microstructure research
  • UROP — paid research from freshman year across Sloan, Media Lab, and CSAIL
  • Course 15-2 and 15-3 are STEM-designated — 3 years OPT vs 1 year for standard business degrees
  • MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition and delta v accelerator — real startup funding for undergrads
  • Cross-registration with Course 6 (EECS) gives Sloan undergrads the same CS courses as MIT engineers
